Anne M. Buckley-Johnson

Attorney At Law

Accredited Veterans Attorney

After her clerkship, Anne landed a job as a commercial litigator with Sills Cummis, one of New Jersey’s largest and well-known law firms, where she practiced in the state courts of New Jersey and New York, and the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey, the Eastern District of New York and the Southern District of New York. Later, Anne served her local community by practicing law for a general practice law firm nearby before establishing the Buckley Johnson Law Firm.

Graduating with High Honors, Anne obtained her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in 1994.  She also earned membership to the Beta Gama Sigma Management Honor Society.

Anne graduated from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden, in 1998.  Her love of the courtroom helped her and her law partner, Christian D. Johnson, place second overall in the Hunter Advanced Moot Court Competition in 1997.  She and Chris also won the second best brief award in the same competition.  In 1998, she and Chris were selected as members of the Board of the Hunter Advanced Moot Court Competition to help run the competition for the next graduating class. Other honors included Dean’s List rankings and she was named a Dean’s Scholar in the spring of 1998.

During law school, Anne became a State Certified Mediator and mediated scores of small claims cases for the Camden Community Dispute Resolution Program.  Anne was selected to serve as an intern for the Honorable Mary Eva Colalillo, JSC, who was assigned to the Family Division at that time, an intern for the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, and an intern/victim’s advocate for the Camden County Domestic Violence Program. She was also a law clerk/ethics analyst for the NJ Office of Attorney Ethics of the Supreme Court of New Jersey where she learned the inner workings of the New Jersey ethics system and helped write various opinions.

For her dedication as a mediator and her service at the Camden County Domestic Violence Program, Anne received a Pro Bono Award in May 1998 from Rutgers Law School, Camden.

Anne became an Accredited Veterans Attorney so she could represent veterans living anywhere in the United States at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (the “VA”), at the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (the “BVA”) and at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
